According to Pelican Publishing, McNeese State University alumna and Lake Charles author Cathy C. Post has received the 2022 Pencraft Book Award for Literary Excellence in the non-fiction sports category.
Red Cagle: West Point's Three-Time All-American, her book, is a biography of Chris "Red" Cagle, an NFL Hall of Famer.
